The SD (StarDrill) series of rigs have historically been built with different descriptor names, such as SD-30,
SD-50, SD-100, SD-200, and SD-300.
In general, the series name represented increasing hoisting capacity: 50 series thru 300 series.
GEFco Speedstar is recently marketed these rigs as simply StarDrill rigs, and in the past they built in the
pullback / hoisting capacity that the customer requires.
This SD-30 rig is a nice little lite-duty top-head drive drilling rig, for shallow water wells, seismic hole drilling,
anode holes, or geothemal heat loop drilling projects.
